The studio

A small shop for big brown-paper moments.

Pepper Duck Designs is a one-person banner practice: custom phrases, party themes, and color palettes painted on kraft paper you can hang over a dessert table or a whole wall.

Customers come with a name, a color from an invitation, a Pinterest save that almost works, or just a feeling — “retro grocery,” “soft baby,” “a little chaotic bridal.” That’s enough to start.

If you have a name, a date, and even a rough color from the invitation, that’s enough. The order form is the fastest way to get a banner on the calendar.

Questions people actually ask

How long does a banner take?

Plan on at least nine days from today. The order form only lets you pick a due date that far out.

Are these printed?

No. Every banner is hand-lettered with acrylic on brown kraft paper. Small variations in lettering and texture are part of the piece.

How should I hang it?

Grommets come standard on all banners for hanging — one in each corner. Painter’s tape or Command strips also work. Keep it out of rain and don’t crease the painted side.

Can I see a mockup first?

Yes. You’ll get up to three digital mockups to start, and a chance to change colors, designs, and styles before painting begins.

What if I need a lot of words?

Classic stays text-focused with 2–3 colors. Signature adds one or two characters and a custom border. Deluxe is multiple characters and a full scene.

Do you take custom sizes?

Small is 36" × 24". Medium is 36" × 48". Large — the most popular — is 36" × 60". Extra Large is 36" × 72". Horizontal or vertical, your call. Grommets are in all four corners.
